Appear to be good quality, but know what you need and want

I purchased my "racing" bike used from an actual bike racer. It was state of the art in the 80's when it was new. It's a 15 speed with a triple ring crank. Outdated now. There are many choices from USAMade for Mountain Bikes, Touring Bikes and a new, to me, concept of oval rings. Not all will work well on my bicycle, and some don't fit because of being designed for one or two ring cranks. My purchase was to replace the intermediate and large rings which were original, aluminum and worn. I attempted to contact USAmade for help in selecting the correct rings. I didn't get a timely response, so I made my own decisions. I researched the oval rings and determined that they probably wouldn't be an advantage for my style of riding. I purchased the same large ring size that I was already running and decided to go with a fewer tooth count for the intermediate to split the ratio more evenly between the small ring and the large ring. When I received them, the intermediate was actually counterbored for a two-ring crank, which was counterbored on the wrong side as an intermediate of a three-ring crank. I contacted USAMade and finally got some help. They offered that they had a tooth count that would work for me that was also counterbored to fit. So, finally, I have the rings on the bike and they seem to be working fine for me. The quality is good. But be sure what you need and want. Hopefully you can get better customer service response that I did.
